How to Properly Drain a Hot Tub or Swim Spa
Hi guys, Joe Quinn from The Place in Medina, and today we’re going to show you how to use the drain on your Coast Spa. Co-Spas have a really easy-access door here that unlocks.
Your key was included with your tub at delivery. We pull off this panel and remove it. We remove that panel, you’ll see the drain located directly in front. It has a cap on top. We’ll unthread that cap.
Once you unthread this cap, you’ll notice that this drain hose is threaded. It is threaded so you can attach it to your standard garden hose. Place your garden hose wherever you’d like the water to run off.
Once that’s done, go ahead, and you’ll see a ball valve on the top. Simply turn that parallel with the hose, and gravity will take shape, and all the water will drain out of your spa.
After the water has been emptied out of the tub, remove your standard garden hose. Replace your cap. Turn your ball valve at a 90° angle and simply place it back inside your easy access panel, and that is how you drain your Coast Spa.
